An ongoing series, painted from life, oil on primed board, occasionally on primed canvas glued to board. The larger paintings are 26 x 32 cm and the smaller ones are 18 x 22 cm. Here the mutability of gathered nature is recorded once, or sometimes in small series of two, three or four, sometimes even ten, as the picked flower opens, blows, dries, is lost, or a fruit ripens, colours, shrivels, sinks. These are painted not so far from where Mantegna lived and worked in a place called Festoni.
