FORTHCOMING Exhibition at Studio Expurgamento June 2016
FESTONI An exhibition of small paintings, oil on board, made over the last few years in a studio in Northern Italy, not far from Mantova and Verona. These works will be shown for the first time. Many of them, painted in small series, track the changes in flowers, in fruit and seeds picked or gathered by the artist, who had in her mind the works of Mantegna, Goya, Cotan and Manet. The show will be curated by Natalia Zagorska-Thomas and opens in early June, 2016 at Studio Expurgamento, Camden Town, Central London.

A feature article by Costanza Lunardi with photographs by Matteo CarassaleĀ is published in the October 2015 issue (rose supplement) of Gardenia, one of the oldest gardening magazines in Italy. Several pages are devoted to the Festoni rose paintings and the studio and garden where Helen Wilks works. Gardenia is published in Milano.
